Let's describe the process of making glass in IELTS writing:
At the beginning of the glassmaking, we can see that there are four main sorts of ingredients namely silica, sodium carbonate, crushed limestone and additives, which are further mixed together in a hopper.
The mixture is then transported to a furnace, where it is melted into liquid. In the float-glass process, molten glass is floated onto a bed of molten tin, and the glass spreads out to form a uniform and flat sheet.
As the sheet passes over rollers that rotate slowly, it gradually cools prior to the process of cutting and stacking that is controlled by computer.
