Kinematics for constant acceleration - 加速度恒定


A jet is taking off from the deck of an aircraft carrier, as the figure shows. Starting from rest, the jet is catapulted with a constant acceleration of + 31 m/s*s along a straight line and reaches a velocity of + 62 m/s. Find the displacement of the jet.

关于计算加速度恒定时物体的位移是一道一维空间基础运算:

First we know Vo = 0 m/s, V = + 62 m/s and a = + 32m/s*s

Second the displacement X = 1/2(Vo + V)t, t = time

Third t = (V - Vo)/a

Finally we get X = 1/2(Vo + V)*(V - Vo)/a = 62 m
